| - Wow.
After BBB contacted them regarding my situation, I brought my car back to get the deficiency repair (re-tint the problematic areas).
Prior to the removal of the tint on my car, I ask John, "Before you remove my tint, do you have SUNTEK CXP in stock?" He replied, "YES. we do"
So I let them remove the tint.
No problems yet.
After removing my tint, they brought my car into the bay.
I requested to be in the bay, per the agreement with BBB.
John, the bay manager, and owner, Chris, started the final removal of the some of the tint. Chris attempted to install, the left quarter panel tint. After two attempts, he ask,, "how about this". He showed me the quarter panel. It had a 8 inch length open gap on the side. YES 8 inches by 2mm.
You ask me, if this is fine??? HOLY Crap.
FURTHERMORE, here is the interesting part. They attempted to installed "AWSF window film" instead of the Suntek CXP.
John insisted it was CXP, but when I showed him the label on the roll, it was clearly AWSF film. I paid for premium film, and you guys were gonna give a lower grade generic film. I BELIEVE THIS IS UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICE...not to mention fraud.
If I wasnt in the bay, I would have not known. I would have removed a small section in the rear window and have it tested at my friend's lab at UNLV Physics department. Which I was planning to do afterward anyways.
Because they failed to meet my reasonable expectation, they refunded me, 100.00 cash and a check for 70.00, the total cost of the tint. Initially, John wanted to deducted 70.00 for materials. I said no. You guys drop the ball and you want to penalize me? I think not.
I will be depositing the check.. If it bounce, I will be filing another formal complaint with BBB and the Office of the Attorney General. Yes, it's now purely principle. Unethical and deceptive practice.
And I will be contact my credit card company as well for a complete charge back if necessary.
In a nut shell, there is correlation between cost and quality. If you dont care what type of tint is place or the workmanship, then please come here.
