| - Really wanted to love the food as we love trying new things and this region of the culinary world is our favorite, but it was so, bland, and that's a word I rarely feel the need use.
Ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entres.
Lumpia (good flavors but the peanut sauce was an odd pairing, more flavorful sauce would be nice)
Tempe Goreng (good fry but the peanut sauce again didn't fit)
Rujak Cuka (this was the winner, sweet and citrusy)
Bopo Chicken (tasted zero flavor from the cilantro, jalapeƱo, or onions?)
Bakmi Goreng (zero spice used?)
There was no asking us about spice level when we ordered, nor any options for us to add at the table, so we were kinda bummed out.
But it wasn't even a spice issue, it seriously lacked flavor of any kind.
I even reread the menu after, I feel like there were several missing whole spice ingredients, especially on the main dishes.
That being said, the staff was very nice, service was not slow, and volume of food was appropriate for the cost, especially considering the location.
But, I feel that I'd rather try another place next time, this left a very bland impression on us both.
