| - I previously reviewed this business after I got treated in 2013. The review was on Yelp for quite awhile, I believe at least till this past April, before it disappeared. I don't understand what happened to it, but my experience was so negative, it bears repeating.
When I first starting coming here, I was seen in the office by Lori, the PA. She even did the diagnosing (!). I only saw the doctor in the surgicenter when he did the nerve block injections. I was told in the initial meeting that I could meet with the doctor anytime I wanted. Lori seemed to demonstrate poor communication skills, like she didn't understand what I was telling her, plus she would constantly interrupt herself when talking to me, like she had a new thought. The final straw for me was when I had a follow-up to discuss my continued pain. Because the nerve block injections didn't work, I asked to speak with the doctor. Lori said no because she speaks to him on my behalf.
At that point, I quit coming here and did the negative Yelp review. The doctor responded to it saying that he wanted to discuss it with me. I told him the time to talk was when I wanted to regarding my treatment.
Fast forward two years. As far as I was aware, all charges to them were satisfied by either my insurance company or payments I made. I have not received any bills or statements from them in over 18 months. Then a few days ago, I got a bill from a collection agency saying I owe them $462. WHAT????? This is a huge hassle for me because I have since changed banks and insurance companies.
After discussing the issue with the billing people, I acknowledged that the error was mine (however they might have tried contacting me in this 2 year period rather than sending it to a collection agency). I just found out that the business had my original review pulled because I demonstrated that the error was mine.
Nothing about the billing issues change the fact that the procedures performed did nothing to resolve my pain.
