My wife and I needed to kill some time on Saturday afternoon while The Camera Store across the street put together my order. We came in here to have a cocktail.
The hostess showed us to a table at the front in the lounge area. The front of the building has big roll-up doors so it's almost like you're on a patio, which is a great option for a building that couldn't have a patio. Unfortunately though, this is Calgary and the north facing exposure can quickly become quite cool when the wind picks up.
The bartender came over and took our order. I grabbed a beer and my wife had a fancy pink creation that was served in a martini-like glass. Her drink was pretty delicious. It tasted similar to a fruity margarita. My beer was also good, though the only way a restaurant can mess up a beer would be to serve it warm and flat.
We had a nice chat, sipped our bevvies, enjoyed the breeze. All good.
Then it was time to go. And we waited. After several minutes I left as I had to go back to the store before they closed to get my new camera. My wife stayed behind to pay the bill. She was another 5-10 minutes. After serving our drinks the bartender never came back. It seemed they had become busy enough that the bartender couldn't get out from behind the bar to make the rounds. No server was brought in to cover. Finally my wife was able to flag someone down and pay the bill.
