When it comes to reviewing a place where we dine occasionally it's hard to know if I should write about our general expierence or what will probably be our last visit there.
I feel they are a bit overpriced so we usually go during happy hour where the half price drinks and sushi bring it down to normal price ranges. It is almost always crowded and you'll almost always have to wait to find a seat. It's not a very child friendly restaurant either with very high tables and chairs.
Generally though the service is good and the food is good. We got the stuffed mushrooms last time which I believe are new and they were delicious.
However after our last expierence I don't think we'll be coming back. We tried to bring the kids to this visit and were reminded why we never do. After 2 table changes we finally just tried to hold the baby on our lap at a booth. One thing to note is we are a mixed race family so we do occasionally get some weird questions when we are out together but we were asked 3 times if we were on seperate checks as if the waitress could not believe people of different races could be together.
Her disbelief apparently only escalated from there. The baby was acting ridiculous so I took her outside while we waited for the food. The mushrooms I mentioned above were new so when they came out my wife didn't know we ordered them and said they had the wrong order (my mistake). The waitress came out and said "that man" ordered them. She said "you mean my husband?" the waitress said "I guess that man outside with the baby". At the end of the meal I took the baby outside again and said "Just give her the check" pointing to my wife. The waitress brought the check over to my wife and said "that man said you were going to get the check? is that ok? are you ok to take the check?"
Very uncomfortable meal. Not a good expierence. Maybe send the staff to some kinda diversity training or something.
