| - I attempted to go for the one year anniversary but once I found out they we're not giving the dollar poutine for take out, I promptly left. I didn't sit because my fiance doesn't like poutine and it was obviously too crowded and busy. Their Facebook and website did not state that at all, so rather disappointing. My fiance suggested I shun them for life, but I opted to give them a second chance, because after all, it's poutine.
So second chance, around 9:30 on a Friday night, it's nearly empty with a few tables occupied. I ordered the basic poutine with bacon. For a place that specializes in one thing, it really sucked. The fries were soggy and undercooked, the gravy was watery and tasteless, canned gravy would have been an improvement, and the curds were rationed like it was hard to come by. The bacon was even worse, mostly fat (even for bacon) and undercooked as well. Also smelled like it had maple syrup or something on it. I'm really not sure about the hype of this place.
