Came in for a triple check; battery, alternator and starter. Dude fumbles with the tester & prematurely tells me the starter was bad. Quoted 4 $700 job at the dealership. On a second thought, I went to a different store just to find out, battery was the problem. Lesson learned. A second opinion always helps.
My true opinion is that, even though the Vegas heat has a rough wear & tear on batteries, auto zone stands to make more if they declared your battery too run down for recharge hence forcing you to buy a new one from them.
