Yep, I like clothes mentor. They sell pre-owned clothing in the low-to-mid range category: think Loft, Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy. There are also a few designer racks around, but the items on those are outnumbered 10:1 by the very stuffed racks in the middle of the store. Which is totally fine. This is a great place to come for casual wear, workout tops, and fashion jewelry. I went in Friday looking for cotton shorts and 3 sleeveless tops with a budget of $25 and hit the jackpot. That was fun. Do be sure to look closely at items before purchasing as they are sometimes not in pristine condition.
If you are looking for high-end, designer and investment items, there are other fabulous places to go for that in Charlotte. But if you're looking for basics or want to try a new style with minimal investment, Clothes Mentor is a good bet.
