let's give credit where credit is due. wolfgang *did* see the potential in vegas w/spago years before emeril, bobby flay, and mario et al from the food network started setting up shop (sigh...and now thomas keller).
i'm disappointed, as there are too many good restaurants in vegas to demand such high prices for sub-par food riding primarily on a celeb chef's name. if it weren't for the fact that my girlfriend (local vegas girl) brokered free drinks and meal, plus great service for us, i would've given postrio 1 star. the food isn't bad, but it is not impressive, far from it. the GM sat with us for most of our meal and had his exec chef in the kitchen give us special attention throughout the night, but still the food was so-so. seated near us....a table of 10+ girls, 1 wearing a veil (bachelorette party)...very loud and...well, stereotypical vegas scene. cheesy.
