  • Was in town last week to visit my in laws who moved here in April. I had not been to Henderson in probably 10 years and was spectacle of making a reservation since I didn't know the area. I'm extremely glad I made the reservation here. From the moment we walked in I was impressed. The gal that checked us in was friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The room was outstanding, we were on the 3rd floor looking towards down town Vegas, being the weather was perfect I was very happy to find we could turn off the AC and open the window! Something most hotels don't allow, but this one does and I love it! We kept the window open all day and all night. The bed was very comfortable and the room beautiful, we had a in room microwave, refg, coffee maker and big flat screen TV that had a beautiful picture. The breakfast provided was very good for a buffet setting, the eggs fresh and hot, the sausage tasty, not dry. There was yogurt cups and granola to add to it, there was cold and hot cereal with fixins. Great oj, and I'm not normally an oj drinker! There was also apple juice, along with an assortment of pastries and breads for toast with fixins. The only down side is if you don't get in early maybe at opening the banana's run out, however there were apples available. From the looks of people in the breakfast room it appears some possibly are there for work as I saw men and women dressing work attire. The gals who are in charge of the breakfast room were flexible in allowing me to "sneak" into grab breakfast at the very end of the breakfast hour on the first day, I had gone for a 5.5 mile walk, arriving back at the hotel at 0900, the closing time. The next morning I made sure I was much earlier !! There is a coin laundry room provided, not sure where you get soap as I didn't use the room, but what a plus next visit I won't have to pack as much clothing. The parking was a tad difficult as the hotel shares a parking lot with a restaurant. We had to park away from the hotel entrance, but hey a little walk in the parking lot didn't bother me since I walk daily for exercise. We travel quite a bit, and honestly this is one of the nicest hotels we've stayed at. Reading the other reviewers ... I just rolled my eyes, the high speed internet is free, don't complain about free stuff.....The 'hammerhead sharks and water buffaloes' - another eye roll, the hotel staff aren't pool police, rude people are everywhere. some person posted he had money stolen - eye roll again!! there is a in room safe, one you program with your own code!! Maybe this person lost it gambling and had to tell the wife back home a story ????? my opinion clearly !! but come on think about it folks !! Why wouldn't one use a provided safe !! We will return to this hotel every time we visit the in-laws, this will be our go to place!
