The boyfriend and I came here for a night cap, suggested from a bartender we spoke to earlier. You enter a door to a brick wall, then press a brick that's protruding more then the others and a door swings open. Down the stairs we go. We situate ourselves at the corner of the bar.
I order a sazerac, he orders a manhattan. The space had a very classic speakeasy vibe. The bartender was mixing drinks with some flair and was pretty chatty with everyone. By this time we were a little tipsy. Knowing it was a kinda slow night for them, I order a ramos gin fizz. If you know, it takes a lot of vigorous shaking to get the creamy foam of the egg white. The bartender starts to pass the cocktail shaker around to shake it. I have to say, it was very close to the best one I've had.
