  • Foreign substance found in 2 chocolate milks Purchased 2 happy meals with chocolate milk in the drive thru here (Cave Creek & Beardsley location) on 2/23/18 at 6:51 pm and when I poured them into a cup the next morning there was excessive bubbles. When I rinsed them under the faucet to clean them to put in recycling, an incredible amount of bubbles - soap like bubbles - came pouring out. I'm outraged that there is a foreign substance (I assume it's soap) in my son's chocolate milk. Some dish soap wouldn't probably even hurt my son, but we don't know what's actually in there. All I know is it causes bubbles like soap bubbles. I have pictures - it is clearly not normal chocolate milk bubbles. I called the manager (Lisa) and she checked one milk carton and said it was fine. She apologized that it happened and asked if there was anything else she could do for me. She did not seem concerned, perhaps she didn't believe me, perhaps she didn't care, but I am saddened and disgusted that there wasn't more concern about a possible foreign substance in the milk they are giving children. She said it was the manufacturer since they just sell the milk and that she will contact the manufacturer, but it felt like she just wanted to get me off the phone. If this was my restaurant, I would pull all the chocolate milk (which is only 2 cases per Lisa so it's not like they would lose a room full of chocolate milk) immediately to avoid any possible other occurrences. We visit (used to visit now - I'll never go back) this McDonald's at least once a week for afternoon snack and play time, or to grab dinner. I am shocked at the cavalier attitude of the Manager. She didn't ask for my name or number, receipt information, nothing. I also reported this to the corporate office so I hope that they will take it more seriously and make the restaurant actually do something. They did take down all relevant information and told me someone would follow up. I realize this is a very long review but I will not be quiet about finding a 'bonus ingredient' in my son's chocolate milk. And to have the restaurant Manager not seem to care in the least bit is upsetting. Please think twice before ordering milk here and if you do, please check it before giving it to your child.
