I dislike this location. The ones at Bloor/Yonge, Yonge/Elm are both so much brighter and nicer. This one is dark and depressing. Came here with some friends today and one person commented that it smelled... "funky". Ah yes... I think the smell was distinctly like urine:S
The bubble tea itself was good. I had the strawberry juice (real strawberries, crushed ice, juice) with tapioca. The tapioca had a good consistency/firmness and there were lots of them. $3.50 + tax and they will stamp your loyalty card -- buy 8 get 1 free. But we got them to go because this is not a place to sit and hang. There are video games and pool tables and a cute cluster of wooden stools, but they can't make up for the poor lighting, humidity, and gross smell.
Why did we even come here, you might ask? Well, we really wanted bubble tea and at the stand further up the street, the lady was cleaning the fountain drinks container with a sponge and her bare hand... i.e. sticking her hand IN the juice and then wringing out the sponge back into the juice... yeah. So this was better. I watched them make my drink from start to finish and good hand hygiene was practiced. But there is better bubble tea to be had in Chinatown. Maybe TenRen's.
