  • My husband and I were able to sneak away from the kids and booked a night at the Princess. We knew it would be busy and there would be lots of families but were also familiar with the beautiful property and knew there would be something for everyone. We have been to the Fairmont for their Christmas festivities and Well & Being is of my favorite spas in town but neither of us had ever stayed on the property overnight. The resort and staff did not disappoint. From the very beginning everyone was very pleasant and went out of their way to help and accommodate us. It was a busy afternoon with many locals checking in so yes we did have to wait in line but it went quickly and the staff did everything they could to get everyone what they needed expeditiously. Our room was in the F building, just off the Princess (South) Pool. It was a perfect location as it was in the middle of the resort so it was an easy walk to just about anywhere on the property. We didn't face the pool so had no issues with noise and only benefited from the location as it was a quick step onto the elevator and we were right at our pool of choice. The service at all the pools (we did lounge by each of them at one point or another) was fabulous and the fact that everyone at the resort was working in 110 degree heat and yet remained pleasant is commendable. On our second day we decided to bring the kids over (all those families were just having way too much fun!) and they loved it. There are activities for every age including glow parties, dive in movies, night time glo golfing, fishing in the lagoon, wildlife walks and talks, pirate and mermaid classes, the list goes on. The offerings reminded me of a high end all inclusive resort in Mexico or the Caribbean. We had dinner at Toro, which I'll review separately. I cannot emphasize what an AMAZING experience it was. From the extremely personal shuttle service to the incredible server (ask for Chris) to the food - it was the best dining experience we have had in a long time! Overall, I cannot rave enough about this resort. The grounds, the service and the food are beyond anything we have experienced. We are already trying to find a weekend when we can return.
