I really liked Dr. Holy personally, but am suffering with embarrassing atrophy one year after receiving a cortisone injection. Other professionals have mentioned another means of relieving treatments would have been more helpful and would not have left such a mark :( I guess I am writing this as a reminder to please make sure cortisone is properly diluted, and other options are sought first, for something like ingrown hairs especially. I was warned of atrophy, but as a tiny divot. It's a huge dent that is taking its time to fill in with the injection marks visible, hopefully it will. Minor surgery to remove it was going to be the next step, but again I've been told I should have been given other options before such invasive, guaranteed scar routes were considered. I didn't want to keep spending $ on appointments to follow through with the recommended plan once I learned it should've never been done that way, but I don't know what to do. I don't know that anything can be done. Very sad I didn't research more.
