I ordered a bagel through the drive-through window because I didn't want to go in. I got home 15 minutes later and discovered it had been sliced and toasted AND it was too dark now for me to retoast it. I did not ask for it to be sliced and toasted. Panera always asks--they don't make assumptions about how soon I am going to eat my bagel. I called and asked about it, and they said this is what they always do. They slice and toast unless someone specifically asks them not to do so. How are you supposed to know to tell them not to? Weird. They offered to replace it, and I will probably take them up on it, but I will have to remember to tell them not to toast it. Also, they are not baking the donuts in the individual Dunkin Donuts stores now, and they are always dry and unappealing. Dunkin Donuts used to be good when they actually made them in the stores. Now they are really not very good, adctually disappointing. I'll get my donuts at Hawkins Market.
