Alamo has never failed me, so it's the place I always rent from.
Don't get me wrong, there are times where I want to wring someone's neck for insipid service, but I find that in anything dealing with customer relations. Glad the person helping us in the beginning was very professional and had common sense...you all know what I'm talking about! I couldn't say much for the other people we dealt with when we returned the vehicle. They must hate their job.
I rented a 15 passenger "party" van for our family trip. The van was not cleaned enough. There was still an empty cup and trash in the holders. We had to clean it before we left.
I checked all of the other rental cars and Alamo locations, this by far was the most economical. I'm sure it's because of the high inventory they can fit in the new location. My hubby insisted that it is worth it to pay for the $25 a day for the extra insurance for such an enormous vehicle. He was right, even for just the peace of mind.
I also like the newly built and well organized location off I-10 and Buckeye Road. What's confusing is all the street signs off Sky Harbor Circle pointed to "Rental Car Return". Park in the "Visitor's Parking" and it will take you up the elevator to where the rental counters are. Why can't they put "Rental Car Pickup"? It's probably just me, but who the heck visits a car rental place?
