  • I made the mistake of opening a personal checking account with compass Bank within just two months I was already seeing fraudulent charges to my account. Although the account had a slightly negative balance due to the fraudulent transactions they froze the account and opened an investigation when I went to follow up on the status of it a few weeks later they told me that the account was closed and sent to collections because it sat with the past due amount for so long. When bringing this up to the general and eventually regional manager, I was treated more like a criminal than a customer. they put me on ChexSystems and now I have not been able to open an account at many other good banks for YEARS due to their oversight and lack of concern for the well-being of their clients. The best part about compass Bank is that you can stop by by and use their toilet for free, But I don't recommend it because they're not worth a crap.
