| - I ate here with my family, and I don't think my girls (9yrs & 11yrs) had any appreciation for what they experienced, what did I expect?
From someone who appreciated the experience, I loved it, aside from the $250 (with tip) bill that came at the end. First, the reception stand was stocked with super cute, polite hostess types - my wife told me to keep my tongue in my mouth.
Once seated, our waiter was nails, full of great recommendations, and very hands on. We sat in a booth which was plenty comfortable, and sizable. The decor is really cool, to me it felt like a large dark cave, with unique wood textured enclosure walls, really unique. They also had a huge vaulted ceiling which made the main dining area unlike anything I've seen.
The family started with the hot rock steak, which the girls thought was very neat and delicious - and it was, BOTH. The meat was awesome, I wish we had more, but their appetizers are designed to leave you wanting more. We also liked the pigs in a blanket, which had a perfectly crisp and flaky blanket.. My favorite appetizer was the poke tacos, unfortunately each taco is one bite. For entrees, we had the sea bass which was perfect, and I mean PERFECT, and the 9 oz. Petite Filet Bone-Out, also cooked to perfection at medium rare. My girls split the most expensive hamburger ever, the Kobe Beef Burger @ $30, BUT... it was one tasty burger! A side worth mentioning is the Baked Mac 'N Cheese, which the kids devoured. We figured we might as well go all in, so, for dessert we had the perfect bites of jelly donuts, which was good, but not amazing, like everything else.
As for drinks, my wife LOVED the Berrylicious martini, just make sure you like sweet things. I enjoyed a well made, dirty martini. Best of all, if you use Yelp to check in, you get two free shots, which we quite enjoyed, it was something strong and sweet.
I can't wait to go back - without kids.
