There are so many great options in Vegas that this doesn't hold up.
Our room was spacious (best point) and reasonably appointed. The mini fridge didn't work and there's no coffee maker in a hotel that touts its self as "suites" (there's a kitchen area). When we inquired to see if it was an oversight, we were told we could get one for $20a day. What the heck? I travel, a lot, and call BS on that policy.
Further, the hotel is tucked just off the strip and a lot quieter than you'd expect. There is no casino - which is the only reason I'm giving them 3, instead of 2 stars. You think that would be a BIG plus, but it's almost too quiet. Everything (including, the EXTREMELY LIMITED FOOD) was closed before midnight. When we walked back from being out for the evening (1am, so not super late) the whole lobby was shut down, including the entrance. There was yellow "hazard tape" strung everywhere so you had to enter a side door and wind your way through a maze to get to the elevator.
The pool is extremely small and is dominated by a parking garage that looms to the side. The cosmopolitan (next door) also had limited space for a pool but nailed the design.
The Vdara just falls flat.
