  • I found Doggie District in 2012 when I went to Jamaica for 6 days with my parents, both my sisters, and my boyfriend. I really had nobody to ask to look after my THREE beagles. I toured a couple veterinary offices and couldn't imagine leaving them in a cold, tile, place that reminded me of a bathroom stall. Next I toured Doggie District and to my surprise it wasn't much more expensive than the vet boarding. And what fun they could have there! So I went ahead and booked them for their first dog-cation at DD. The next time I needed DD was in 2013 when my bf and I had planned a trip to Mexico. Since their last visit went well I decided to do it again. This visit had a couple hiccups-nothing major, just seemed a little... Unorganized? But overall I was again a satisfied customer. My main reason for taking the time to write this super long review today is because once again last month I decided to send my babies to DD while we took a trip to California. Things seem to have changed at DD since summer of 2013. Maybe new management? I was informed that they changed the way they do things. They have general boarding (which I can't remember the exact pricing, but was very reasonable), 3 star, 4 star, or 5 star packaging. I chose to go with the 5 star- all day play, upgraded bedding, gourmet treats, a special belly rub and tuck in service- but what sold me was the daily emails with pictures and a report card of what they were up to each day! It totally made my day while we were gone! And as a crazy dog mom (self proclaimed! At least I know it!) it totally set my mind at ease and I knew they were in good hands. Thank you Doggie District! Every staff member I dealt with was awesome! The beagles had a great stay. I had them groomed and they came home fresh, happy, and sleepy! Worth every cent! We will be back soon!
