Way in the back of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), is the Norma Ridley Members' Lounge. As a recently joined member, I have been making a point to spend more time at the AGO, especially since many of my film friends were keen to go to the current exhibit.
I arrived super early meeting a friend the other day and decided to go to the members' lounge to have a coffee and a snack. I waited to be seated and the server let me choose where I wanted to sit. I chose a seat close to the window looking out to Grange Park. I found the menu with great variety and the prices were not as bad as I would expected it to have been, considering it was a public institution.
The cheese plate caught my eye along with a cappuccino and it was A+. The cheese plate was like a work of art, paired with fruit, a marmalade, and a good amount of crostini. I have loved this so much that I've ordered the cheese plate all of the three times I've been to the lounge in the past two months.
I got the membership to see special exhibits, but having access to this lounge is just icing on the cake. Maybe I'll try something else other than the cheese plate.
