Meh, definitely not impressed with this place. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner since he's been craving some Creole/Cajun food and man, we were pretty disappointed of our meal.
We came in around 5pm which was during their happy hour and though we wanted to order from their menu (drinks are half off) they didn't allow us to order if we ate at the dining area which was a bummer so we didn't end up getting anything off their HH menu. I don't understand why it was an issue to order at the bar and just drink the drinks at our table but we just went with it.
We went for the gumbo, crab cake, and the étouffée with half crawfish and half shrimp.
Gumbo: 2/5 - felt like I was just eating soup from a can and I barely tasted any shrimp at all.
Crab cake: 4/5 - probably the best thing we ate out of all of the food but the portion was very small, not shareable at all.
Étouffée: 3/5 - very bland. We had to add salt but it barely helped. The shrimp was good but definitely wasn't satisfying at all.
Service was good and we got complementary bread before our meal. Not sure if I'll try this restaurant again but it definitely didn't hit the spot we were hoping to fill.
