| - Well for my review I let places earn stars. Stars are earned for overall atmosphere, room accommodations, Service,
We should have moved hotels, when we first got here. Our nice super shuttle driver WARNED us about the "HOOD' directly behind the hotel. OK been Police for 35 years and when a local says STAY out of the HOOD, or naked city as he called it STAY out. We should have moved. Noticed on the news too, someone got shot near the stratosphere one night during our stay.
Well the first thing is the atmosphere, the casino and lobby REEKS of smoking. Now it is a casino, BUT all the other places we visited the smoke smell was not as nearly overwhelming. We stayed on the 17th floor, a no smoking floor and once on the elevator BAM stench of smoking in the elevator shaft. We waited for a shuttle to be pick us up for a tour and the smoke smell was so bad near the doors we held the door open to get fresh air in the doorway.
Housekeeping, very slow one day NO housekeeping at all, one day very late nearly 5pm to get our towels. We did get room service and I assumed that the housekeeper would take the tray out, maybe my bad. The sink was slow in the room and we left a note thinking the housekeeper would be able to help. NOPE so gotta call maintenance at night. Took him about 10 mins to unclogged the drain. He said he would call housekeeping to clean the sink, NO housekeeping ever cleaned that sink, Next time we'll stay somewhere else.
The one star is earned from the room service food, pretty good breakfasts we had during our stay. We were later told the Trump Hotel is Non Smoking, politics aside I would look there if smoking is an issue as it was at the Strastophere. The Trump is a little for central located to the strip if that is important too.
So when we get home our clothes will REEK of smoke, goes to show you "what goes on in VEGAS doesn't stay in VEGAS, our clothes will reek with VEGAS smokers.
