Beers are $12.50, but you expected that. What I didn't expect, having not been to a multi-purpose venue like this in quite some time, was the focus on food. I was here for a concert and expected weed wafts and soggy hotdogs but the concourse was like a pristine upscale food court. I didn't see a single "merch" table. And I don't think musical events lend themselves to gourmet mac 'n' cheese, so didn't partake of the "Union Market" offerings, as the vendors, communal, are called. Anyway, kudos to the management because everything here was really easy, efficient and clean. And I guess to Torontonians as everyone is so goddamn well behaved. It was easy to find your seat with lots of friendly people to direct you. The bathroom lineup really chugged along. This creepy photo helped. Think the same photo was hanging in the men's bathroom?
