| - We came here the week after they opened, the lot next to the museum was either closed or full (I don't remember which) So we had to park across the street in one of the paid casino lots. Which wasn't so bad.
We had a great time the first visit and they werent completely done, there were missing placards for information and some of the artifacts were in place, but we still loved it. yeah a lot of this you can see slices of at home, but this kind of history all packed in together motivates you to learn more (in my opinion)
So this last weekend we were in town again and had dad with us for the weekend and decided to take him, thought he'd like it.
My guy and dad LOVED it, its a hit for sure AND we got to see everything put together and even a few of the upgrades and additions they have made since we visited last. I don't really think about 20 dollars each for 4 hours of history is a waste of money at all. I don't get why this is new or shocking to anyone (and a lot of people seem to be complaining about the cost in these reviews, they love it, but they want it for next to nothing???) although I think the gift store is over priced, its how they keep the lights on and buy more amazing artifacts and some of the stuff is so cool you REALLY want to buy it, I purchased stuff on both visits, probably close to the amount we spent on getting in was spent in the gift shop, but the stuff I bought was not bad quality, so it was well worth it.
So We've now been there twice, and we will probably go again if we end up in Vegas with friends who really like the history of the place they are visiting and not just the shiny lights.
