FREE family fun in Las Vegas!!! I said FREE!!!!! Made a quick stop in Vegas with the family on our way home from Utah. We worked hard to entertain the kids away from arcades! We brought them to this chocolate factory (its by no means WILLY WONKA'S chocolate factory). It is about 20 minutes from the strip.
They have a cactus garden out front to walk around and I hear that around Christmas this is decked out with lights- but our trip was in June. Upon entering the chocolate factory we saw a store and then a display area with a glass barrier. On the other side of the glass you can watch the machines make chocolate and people box them. We also watched them make caramel apples. At the very end of the "self guided tour" they gave us a sample of their chocolate. It was a nice touch and it honestly makes you want to buy candy! We bought the kids candy- it's $2-4 per piece. We bought brittle which was DELIGHTFUL!!!
Kids loved it here and we thought it was interesting too. It only took about 30-40 minutes but was a highlight to our time in Vegas.
