Jen B who stated that people who don't like this studio don't understand or know the Bikram method is 100% wrong about her understanding of the Bikram method or this studio.
I have taken and studied the Bikram method for 11 years. I began my practice at headquarters in Los Angeles and taken many classes with Bikram Choudry. His classes are designed to be taken at 105 degrees and 40% humidity. Bikram Las Vegas or now known as Vegas Yoga has the thermostat set at a minimum of 110 degrees.
I know for a matter of fact that the manager will reprimand or potentially fire any teacher that lowers the temperature or opens the door to let air into the studio. Last week I took a class that was at 117 degrees and was seeing spots!
After 11 years of Bikram, I am sad to say that I must take my leave of this studio and try something else. This studio is strictly for heat addicts. This is not a form of exercise but a form of survival.
