i have visited this Belk on several occasions. This weekend I had a rather odd experience. There were two white sales clerks at the counter in the Today's Woman cashier section. The white customer being waited on had a lengthy transaction. However when I came up to the register, the second white salesclerk or manager trainee named Robin treated me as though I was invisible. It took about 15 minutes of waiting in line and another white customer to appear in line with me for her to decide to wait on others. Instead of taking me, the next one in line, Robin bypasses me and asks the white customer if she can ring her items up. The white customer made it clear to Robin that I was in line first and was next. Finally she decided to see me and wait on me. I had to remind her to give me the discount on sale items. The white customer did not have to ask. My question is why would you hire such a manager to run a public store. She should be encouraged to treat everyone equally.
Overall the store had a great selection of sale items with deep discounts. I was pleased with my purchase and used my three ten dollar reward certificates.
