  • How many Bobby's do you have Arizona? We continued on our Bobby theme after an awesome meal from Bobby Q's and wanted to check out this restaurant recommended by the Westin. For this meal it was decided our friends would choose so no pre-yelp research. We went in blind not knowing what type of food it was, if it was child-friendly or not, what price range, and how it rated. Walking in I was immediately concerned seeing how trendy it was with white linen tables and wine glasses set on the tables and thought "uh oh...maybe not so child-friendly even for lunch". However, they sat us in a booth without linens and provided one kids menu so it seemed ok. We quickly realized it was Italian and we were all excited since our last Italian meal was a flop. Kids menu: - Mac and cheese - chicken tender with fries Lunch menu: - meatball sandwich with Caesar salad - linguini with red clam A warm basket of cheesy garlic bread was brought out and within seconds it was gone. It was pretty tasty and a great way to keep the kiddos happy before their entrees came out. We ordered two more baskets of cheesy bread. Mac and cheese was a hit and although it was a kids meal, no additional sides were provided. We got a thumbs up! Chicken tenders came with three pieces of chicken and fries. It looked good although our son fell asleep after the meal so no comment. Meatball sandwich was a big hefty sandwich. The bread was very soft yet durable enough to hold the large meatball pieces. It was topped with yummy melted cheese but I found the sauce to be minimal. It helped to keep the sandwich clean but tasted a little dry with such little sauce. The Caesar salad, on the other hand, was drenched with dressing and had way too much Parmesan. I took a few bites and decided not to eat any more. My husband Loves loves loves a good linguini with clam in red sauce and he said this dish was excellent. After trying a little I agree. The sauce was right on, the linguini was cooked perfectly and there were plenty of clams inside. He was very happy clam. Our friends ordered pesto chicken pasta and they were also very pleased with their dish. As a Westin guest we got to choose a complimentary dessert so we picked the almond cake and our friends picked the brownie with ice cream. The brownie was warm and homemade. It was delicious. The almond cake was light and a perfect way to end our meal. Overall we were pretty content with our experience at Bobby's for lunch. The price range is $ to $$ for lunch which is reasonable. Service was great despite some delay receiving our entrees.
