| - I came here because it's convenient but I'm just going to make the trek to Home Depot or Rona instead.
It's overpriced as R.H. said, by about 20% on everything, it's TINY, and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
They don't take anything back even if it's defective, and they're pretty effing rude to you even if you are asking a question on something the answers are:
"I don't know."
"What you see there is what we have."
"No, there's no other stock."
Seriously? You're out of stock on something that I want, but you won't remove the tags to show that you no longer want to carry the product? That's just bad business.
I'd rather take the trek to Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Rona, or any damn hardware store place instead of coming here, because there, at least they understand the importance of customer SERVICE.
They also yell at you and make you feel like crap in the store, IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS.
I saw a man trying to return something and they were just whaling on him and he was getting frustrated too, which didn't add to the ambience of this tiny, overpriced store filled with Made in China crap.
Here, their store policies are also outdated. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, SHAME ON ME.
They're going to close down in about 5-10 years I reckon, considering that they won't change with the times and have pretty steep rents to pay. At least at other big box hardware stores they know that if you say "satisfaction guaranteed", you're supposed to mean it.
