I like this place more than a lot of the places in the area, but thats because I find a lot of the other places in the area to be either trying to be too high end, are dank or well aged holes in the wall, or are corporately owned chains. This place fits right in the middle. Its just nice enough to be a casual place for a pint whether coming from work in a suit and tie or in a t-shirt on the weekend.
If the Pilot didn't have the rooftop patio "Flight Deck", this place would be very forgettable, but since it does it makes it a top notch choice in the area. The patio is large and has retractable awnings which can be rolled out when it starts raining.
They do have a healthy amount of tap beer selections, and the food is what I would consider to be perfectly adequate. I've never had anything that knocked my socks off, however also never had anything worth complaining over either.
