This was the third escape room I have done in the Valley. It was definitely not the best. We did "The Trap" with a group of 8 total. First of all, the room was not very prop heavy like other rooms we have done. They also tell you that everything marked with blue tape is not a clue or significant to the game. Most other rooms mark things that are off limits like Thermostats ect. This room had blue tape every where. On pretty much 80% of the props were marked with blue tape. That takes the fun out of searching and trying to figure out what is a real clue and what isn't. Then if you did search through something marked with blue tape, the man in the control room would come on over a speaker and tell you not to search it because it was marked with blue tape. He also came on over the speaker basically telling us what to do. It pretty much ruined the experience and made it feel like we were walked through the game. The other rooms I have done NEVER have someone talk to you through a speaker. Any hint given was given via the TV screen and only a slight hint, not telling you what to do. They told us they would only give us a hint of the entire group agreed to it, but really we were given unsolicited hints when we never asked for them. We felt like we were not given an opportunity to really play the game and figure out the clues. I think this room could be much better if they decorated it a little more, and actually let you search through the items they did leave in the room, and also keep the man in the control room a little more quiet!
