| - My husband and I were fans of the Denver Rock Bottom when we lived in Colorado, so we decided to have a date night at the Pittsburgh location a few weeks ago.
They were very crowded, but we got a reservation on OpenTable and were able to skip the line. We arrived a few minutes early, but they were able to seat us when we got there.
The beer is consistently good here-- I went with the fire chief red ale, and my husband tried both one of the cask strength beers and an IPA. I ordered the bacon chicken mac n' cheese, and it was as good as I remembered. My husband's steak was overdone, but the servers were very apologetic (they offered to replace it, and ended up comping it) and he said it was seasoned well. For dessert, we split the mason jar bourbon pecan pie, and it was delicious, with a really delicious ice cream on top.
This location may not have quite lived up to our expectations from the original, but I'd be happy to end up here again if I'm in the area.
