| - Dear God, 346 Patisserie. Why did you, in all your irresistible goodness, open so close to my house!? I can only use this pregnancy excuse for so long as a reason for gaining weight.
346 puts an emphasis on frozen treats, including homemade gelatos and sorbets. The flavors are so unique (I love trying all of them and, even when it's something that's a little too "out there" for my tastes, it's still delicious!). They have tons of non-frozen pastries too, including macarons, croissants, etc. It's always been the same girl at the counter when I've gone and she's such a pleasure. She always explains, in detail, the current flavors and goodies that are available that day.
What I exceptionally love about this place:
-The amazingly flavorful sorbets and gelatos, all clearly made with the best ingredients
-The chocolate chip cookies (and the ability to make a gelato sandwich with them!)
-The service
-The fruit water
What I don't love:
-The prices/portions. Honestly, I'd be here SO much more often if it didn't seem so expensive. The problem isn't the prices, per say, but the amount you get for the price you pay. It just isn't enough of the good stuff to justify paying so much.
-The environment. It's pretty lackluster and "sterile". There's no music playing and the decor isn't nearly as glamorous as you'd imagine for such an expensive place.
-The short-lived availability of different products and flavors. I came today with a craving for something in particular and it wasn't available. It could also be a strength that they're constantly switching out flavors for new and unique ones, but don't get too attached. If it's here today, it seems it may be gone tomorrow. On the bright side, this means it may be back again.
Great addition to the neighborhood but I won't be too much of a regular here because much of my disposable income would disappear to macarons and sorbet.
