| - My mom, aunt and I had a wonderful experience at the JCPenny Portrait Studio. It was our first time using the JCP studio and our first time getting our pictures taken since high school. For a sitting fee of $9 (waived for studio members, a membership which you can sign up for that day for $10) you can pick 2 backgrounds, holiday themes included. The photographer took 12 pictures of us in various poses with some of us together, separate, and in pairs. At the end she asked us if we wanted her to take any more pictures of us in any special ways. Her pose ideas were all natural and we liked them all. After the photo session we went with another girl off to the side and chose the pictures we wanted. Now the JCP photo system is really annoying. The poor girl was forced by the system to create over 10 specialty random photo collages. This was really annoying because we already knew what we wanted to buy. Dumb of JCP not to allow their sales people any leeway in what they show since we were interested in buying a lot, just not specialty collages. Anyways, once she got those out of the way, she was nice and helpful and patient as we chose what we wanted. We chose a $79 package that included 8 wallets; 4, 3.5X5s; 3, 5X7s, and 2, 8x10s. We added on then 1, 8X10 and 1, 16X16 and 3, 5x7s. All of that came out to be $228, but we had a 20% off coupon. Also since we all became members ($10 each) the $9 sitting fees were waived and we received one of the 8x10s for free as well as a speciality collage thrown in for free as well. We got out for just $126!! What a great deal and a great experience. They offer frames as well but since the frame price of the 16X16 nearly doubled from $54 to over $100 we decided to get that frame ourself separately. Our appointment was Sunday and we were told our pictures would be ready before 6pm Friday.
