| - Up until my last visit, I had nothing bad to say about this place. I always got good service and with that, I felt no need to go anywhere else when it came to tire issues.
However, my last visit was a complete disappointment. I had a pretty simple issue of a slow leak in my front tire. It was a really slow leak it would take almost a month for the pressure to get low and activate the TPMS light. I didn't have an appointment so I was there for at least 2 hours waiting for the work to be done. I don't have an issue with that, I was a walk in.
Finally, they finished and I was told that there was dirt or debris causing the lost of air and that the tire pressure monitoring light will need about 20 minutes to reset. The 20 minute reset struck me as wrong, but I let it go. When I looked at the tire, it still looked low (inflation wise) to me, but I let it go. Afterall, I had just sat here for 2 hours while they did this work, well.....I don't think they did anything at all to the tire. The TPMS light NEVER went off and the tire was definitely still underinflated. So not only was I lied to; my time was wasted; and you sent me back on the road on a vulnerable, unsafe, underinflated tire. Great customer service (sarcasm intended)!
This bugged me for a few days, so I decided to go back to the same Discount Tire and use the free tire air check to make sure I wasn't reading too much into this. Well, sure enough the air pressure was at the same low pressure. Also, once the guy properly inflated the tire, the TPMS light IMMEDIATELY went off. No "20 minute reset" required. I watched it go off instantly. So I was fed a bunch of BS and no work was performed at all.
I don't know why I received such crappy service in this instance, but what I do know is that just as I chose to go to this Discount Tire, I can choose to spend my money elsewhere and that's what I will do. If I cannot trust you to do your job, then why do I need to bother with you.
