I was in a car accident and my insurance company set up my rental reservation with Hertz on my behalf the day before pick up. 9am on the day of pickup, I got a phone call from Hertz confirming my vehicle would be ready for pick up at 11am. A friend drove me the 30 minutes up to the location to be told they had absolutely no vehicles available and that they had no idea who called me to confirm the reservation (even though I had their reservation confirmation number) - I would need to go to the location on independence - another 30 minutes away! They did not offer any apology or discount, could not be less impressed.
