Compared to other yoga studios, Moksha Yoga Uptown isn't a bad facility. It has a pretty open reception/waiting area, and the gentleman behind the counter was very nice. The instructors are friendly and as our instructor said, "try to have a bit of fun". I can appreciate that as someone new to yoga practice.
The cleanliness of the studio wasn't the best. I understand that it's hot yoga but it felt gross to feel the sweaty runner under your feet, knowing you were feeling other people's sweat. The changeroom just had cubby holes and 3 showers. I did worry about valuables in my bag as I wouldn't have wanted to take my phone into a hot room.
I agree with Jennifer that the room was insanely hot. I thought I would be okay. Eventually I had to leave because I couldn't take the heat (pun intended!). I sort of wish that provisions could've been taken for different ailments. With my asthma, it's very hard for me to breathe in deeply and slowly. So the deep breathing made me feel like I was going to pass out. Also, it being a beginner class, I would've liked for her to describe more of the poses that people wouldn't have known by their yoga name. A lot of the time, I would just follow the girls in front of me to figure out what she meant.
It wasn't a bad studio but I can find better ways to break a sweat.
