Jetton Park is a very nice park that had a nice quietness and peace about it. It has a shaded trail around 1.4 miles long. Picnic tables and benches bountifully line the trail with ample opportunity to have a picnic or grill. Even on a busy weekend I think there's plenty of space for people to enjoy. We brought our Bruce (shepherd mix) with us since he always joins in outdoor fun. He enjoyed it as well and made some "trail" friends as usual for his social hound self. The beach area looks small but a major negative is that you can't go in the water. Not much fun to have sand if you can't get out of the sun to cool off. But I completely understand why. I personally love the swinging benches that have views of the lake on the latter end of the trail. Seems to be plenty of parking and the play ground area looks to be well kept and fully equipped with all the fun stuff! Yes, you do have to pay to park on weekends but that's okay, I feel they use that money wisely in the upkeep, which I respect. We saw the tennis courts, we'll have to come back and use them sometime! Definitely add this to your outdoor list in Charlotte (and surrounding area). We will return to enjoy other parts of this park.
