I came in with severe abdominal pain; after 8 hours in triage/er in which two doctors spent (between them) less than 2 minutes telling me what was going on (with conflicting details in their reports). Communication here seems terrible. After being admitted, it took over 30 hours before a doctor even visited me-- he didn't introduce himself or ask if I had any questions, only asked me if I was still in pain. It took about 20 seconds and I still have no information about what's going on with me.
I have no clue when they're even planning to release me-- since i've got in, every 12 hours someone tells me that I'll probably leave in a few hours, and then someone else will come in and tell me I'll be lucky to leave in 24. At one point I pressed the nurses' button on the bed and asked a question, to which I was told I'd have to ask my nurse. They haven't taken any new tests since they admitted me and they check my vitals twice a day so I'm not sure what they're basing their diagnosis on. If someone would tell me the results of my blood tests, or catscan, or urine analysis I'd have a better idea of what the original diagnosis was but right now, it seems like they're just keeping me hooked to an iv while waiting for this to pass.
I'd really recommend going elsewhere.
