| - I paid $36 for the room but for the quality like most reviewers, it should be much lesser. I think I will stay here again IF I really had no last resort, but since I was in Arizona for a quick trip so it was ok for me.
Definitely not very family oriented - I think this place provides homes for homeless people (I used to work at homeless shelters aka motels and they get governmental assistance to homeless people, providing up to 3 months of residency at local inns/motels). I saw a few men just lounging around with their bellys hanging loose, haha, smoking upstairs and a lady with some missing teeth holding her broken strapped backpack and very unkept dog :-(. A couple was also outside cursing/yelling at each other at around 9pmish.
Anyway, I already expected it so it's ok... BUT this is in Phoenix, AND that sign saying that it's guaranteed you "can expect a clean room" is very false advertising. This place is shabby for its $36.
Cons:
* I like to 'inspect' the beds for my peace of mind..haha. Just some weird 'travel OCD' when I stay in inns/motels/hotels, etc. Some motels are actually quite clean. This one, not so much! I found some red stain on the side of the bed (looks like siracha or pizza stain, haha). Yuck.
* Towels - they do not provide you bath towels. You only get two 'hand towels' and a couple bars of soaps. The towels are really scratchy!
* LOUD AC. At least it drowns the noise from the outside, haha. But I was able to sleep with the loud AC on. Don't know how it'll work with light-sleepers.
* Dim lighting. Maybe they need to change the light bulbs.
* The latch was broken... oh my goodness.
* Non smoking rooms REEKED of smoke. Even though I left the A/C on for the whole day in 50 degrees, when I came back at night-time, it still reeked.
* Wifi does NOT work, poor reception.
Pros:
* I guess the price?? I think I will pay an extra $10 next time in Phoenix to get bath towels AND a clean bed.
* Nice guy in the front desk!
* Beds are pretty comfy, other than the fact that the fitted sheet underneath was a bit dirty. Yikes.
Will I stay here if I need a place to crash? Definitely not. Sorry, no thank you.
