I want to start off by saying I have never written a review, especially a bad review in my life. However, the experience I had at MomDoc was worth taking the time to write this. The fact that I waited an hour to get seen was the least of the experience. It was the doctor that I saw, Janelle. I originally went in to receive consultation for an IUD. Instead I received a projection about the fact that my irregular period might very well mean that I'm pregnant. I understand it's their job is to inform me about a possible pregnancy from a missed period but her icy, condescending tone is entirely unnecessary as a medical professional. This woman seriously had the most negative bedside manner. She clearly did not take my feelings into account as I was clearly getting more and more distraught in front of her eyes. "Oh we are DEFINITELY going to check your urine sample today to see if you're pregnant. And IF you're not THEN we can talk about the steps to you possibly getting an IUD. But if you aren't pregnant, a irregular period in birth control is very rare so there could be other things wrong." I was honestly shocked at how little she was making me feel. She also kept on repeating herself 4 times in such a condescending tone. I'm a grown ass woman, I know what a missed period means thank you. I had to be like ok I understand multiple times. Then as she left the room she says, "We will be back in a few minutes to tell you the results. If the other ladies come in that means you aren't pregnant, and I'll come in if you are." Those 5 minutes waiting for someone to come in felt so long. The other woman came in and I was like oh thank goodness and I started crying. As the other woman left she left the door open and I COULD HEAR them laughing and saying how I freaked out. Honestly I have never experienced such unprofessionalism and insensitivity at a doctor's office before. I will be making sure that all women I know will not support this practice and I won't be returning here again.
