| - Let's start off with the JERK behind the desk in the clubhouse. Be prepared for a JERK 'cause that's just what your getting. The personality of a stone. We booked our tee time on the phone on Tuesday for Wednesday. But Wednesday morning "online" there was a special, this special WAS NOT online Tuesday and we expected to get the special price. Nope, no way, we were told that's an "ONLINE" special only. Tell me, what the hell is the difference???? The difference is, more than likely, that your charge card will still be charged, if you play or have to cancel for an emergency.
The course itself is a little below decent shape. There are some rough spots in the fairways but overall they're ok, just ok. The biggest problem I see are the sand traps. The traps you see from the clubhouse are nice white sand but as soon as you get away from the clubhouse it's a disaster. You've got brown, heavy sand, that should be used for cement. And in some cases there's mud mixed with the sand. And in other cases, there's the lack of sand and over watering into the traps, don't blame the rain, it hasn't rained in over a week. One other problem I see in general is that PLAYERS are being ignorant by not raking sand traps or fixing ball marks on the greens. The footprints I encountered,in the traps, were not from today. This SHOULD have been taken care of FIRST thing in the morning by maintenance but NO, they were busy cutting grass, that was still wet from the dew. DO YOU CUT YOUR GRASS WHEN IT'S WET????? Fix the sand traps FIRST and then cut the grass. The owners of the course have already lost one course, ST Jude's, and they're well on their way to losing this one.
