I'm reviewing Olive Or Twist strictly as a weekday lunch person. I haven't had drinks there, or been there during an evening or weekend rush.
I absolutely love this place. Its seating area is small - maybe seven or eight tables? The lunch menu is delicious. I get the grilled cheese and tomato soup every time, and it's perfect. The friend I go with gets the French Dip and sings its praises all day long.
The prices are a bit on the high side - over $10 for lunch - but frankly, the food is so good I'm glad to pay the extra couple of dollars.
The bartender is always the same guy when I go, and if he's the only one up front who has to seat me I get a distinctly unhappy vibe off him. Killing him with kindness does not work. Other than him, the staff seems great, and I'm happy to give them my business.
