  • The Black Box Theatre is truly just ... a black box, with nothing else to dress it up. You can see the thick black paint lines on the walls, which adds to the obvious no frills point of the place. That being said, the sound system is incredible! Well-balanced, perfect bass, and it works for every variety of electronic music. I came on a night with some friends DJ-ing. The sparse crowd was a blessing in disguise given how creaky the ventilation was, but it was an ideal venue for local musicians. There's a grungy feel that brings back Lee's Palace in the 90s.
