| - A terrible, terrible experience. Huge waste of time and money. We called for service because the garage door was not opening and closing properly with the remotes. The serviceman from SOS who first came over told us we needed a new control board, so we bought one, and he installed it. Afterwards, it still didn't work. He scratched his head and said, "Well maybe you should get new controllers." So we bought new controllers. He programmed them to the new control board. However, despite having now both a new control board and new controllers, and having paid a good deal of money on both the items and the service, the problem isn't any better, If anything, it's worse. I called the main office and asked for a refund on the service since the job was not completed to satisfaction. He got very angry, started yelling at me, and denied me a refund. Do not use this company.
EDIT: In regards to Mr. Lane's response below, I was told buy the 3rd party parts by his serviceman. The control board was from Amazon.com, and the new controllers were from Home Depot, so I'd be surprised if they didn't work properly. And I was not asking him to refund me for the parts that I bought, only the $80 I paid for their unsatisfactory service.
In any case, I think Mr. Lane's unprofessional response to this review only further demonstrates what kind of businessman he is.
