  • I wish I could give this place less stars, but one is the minimum. They deserve half a star for being a relatively nice staff and collecting my packages every time it came. However, this place is much nicer in the pictures than they make it seem. It seems perfectly fine during the day, but pretty scary at night. My neighbor downstairs got stabbed during a domestic dispute and it kind of says something when no one living around you calls the cops. I think it's because they are all on probation. And apparently that is not terms for breaking a lease, since i quote from the front office "you can get stabbed anywhere when you are out in the street". Um, not where I live. People don't carry guns and knives freely to stab random passerbys on the road. Lame. The parking there is sufficient, plenty of guest parking. They charge $10 a month for covered parking which is a bit stupid because it's so damn hot over here that parking should just be included. So you end up parking in guest spots and try to find a tree to keep your car cool. There is no laundry in unit, so you have to walk to one of the two laundry facilities on site at either end of the complex. Not ideal for me since it's hot, and I don't like going outside because some of the neighbors are scary. So I usually try to finish my laundry before it starts to get dark. I've had stuff stolen off my car (they pried the covers off of each of my tires to get the logo of the brand). Pretty ghetto if you ask me. I didn't even bother to replace it, figuring it will probably get stolen again. Management is not super quick to respond and they seem somewhat incompetent though nice. Nice doesn't cut it all the time when you really want something to get done. They kind of lag and end up forgetting. So best bet is to go to the office to get what you want done. Rent was cheap. That was the best part for the size of my apartment. If you don't mind living around drug dealers, couples that fight on cue every week and take the violence outside in the middle of the night, don't mind guys ogling you as you walk to your car, don't mind maintenance forgetting to come around to fix broken stuff, having stuff stolen off your car, or hearing your neighbor get stabbed. then the rent might be worth it to you. Otherwise, I'd say keep looking. I would avoid this neighborhood in general, it's really close to Maryvale.
