Now that I've tried both activities offered here I feel more knowledgeable to give my full review.
This place rocks!
Dodgebow: basically dodge ball with bows and arrows. It's high intensity and high cardio. You will break a sweat! They have tons of different scenarios you can try out so you won't get bored of the game. It'll be a little awkward at first because of the face mask and the arm protection band but you get used to it.
It's the perfect activity for a birthday party or a friend hangout. I'd love to go back with my family.
Force Academy: we've all wondered what it would be like to wield a light saber. It's definitely harder than it looks. My arm was so weak and I'm so short it kept hitting the ground. But by the end of my session I was decent! They teach you some cool moves just like in the movies and they put you in some cool scenarios to practice.
The staff is great. Super friendly. They'll teach you everything you need to know and then it's up to you. I had Zack both times I went and I really like him.
Some things to remember before you go:
- get there early, there are wavers to sign
- be dressed to do some physical activity
- if you're a small group you might be with strangers so if you don't like that idea, reserve for your group only.
- bring a lock for the locker area
- sign up for their newsletter. They have tons of promotions year round.
As I'm writing this I already want to go back and play!!!
