| - I only spent one night here, but it was quite pleasant!
We booked on Priceline and were happily surprised to find that our room had been upgraded for free due to lack of availability. The staff was generally helpful, especially for a man that helped us map out some places to see during our stay. The lobby area is unexpectedly dark, with black walls, but I can't say it didn't look cool! Definitely not a traditional mirrored, chandeliered, floral-patterned carpet hotel--they have the sleek & modern look down pat.
As with other city hotels, you have to pay extra for a place to park. They charged $22/day for valet service with in and out privileges, but we parked it in a random lot for $16.
One cool bonus feature is that the CN tower is practically in the backyard of this hotel. Yes, if hotels had backyards, this one would be dominated by the tallest free-standing structure in North America (oh god, I sound like a travel brochure).
All in all, I'd say that the experience was a fine introduction to the Intercontinental hotel chain. I'd definitely stay there again!
